Can The Boston Celtics Upset The Cleveland Cavaliers in a Playoff Series?

The Celtics have made clear strides this season, they currently have a 44-26 record which is good for second best in the Eastern Conference. Celtics fans are now hungry for playoff wins and I think the Celtics could live up to the lofty expectations they have. As of right now they are the second best team in the East and in many peoples opinion the biggest threat to dethrone the defending world champion Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. Even though they are widely known as the biggest threat, people still give them no chance to win more than a game , which is unfair.

This Celtics team matches up a lot better with the Cavaliers than most people think. They have two of the best on ball defenders in the world in Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart, who have given Kyrie Irving fits in the past. They also have plenty of bodies to throw at LeBron, including Jae Crowder, Jaylen Brown, and Jonas Jerebko who are all very solid defenders. In a seven game series, the Celtics stingy defense would keep them in each game to the bitter end.

The Celtics also move the ball extremely well, which the Cavs have had trouble containing during their regular season meetings. To really have a chance at beating the Cavaliers, someone on the Celtics would need to step up his game offensively. Al Horford is someone who I believe would take his game to another level in a playoff series against Cleveland. If Al turned back the clock to his prime days in Atlanta, the Celtics would have a fighting chance. The Boston Celtics would give the Cavaliers a hell of a fight, and I see them winning at least two games in a seven game series.
